3D is just a gimmick - be warned!

I love the movie. In fact on its opening day I watched it 4 times straight. The 2D is the better version. 3D adds nothing and actually causes annoying distortions. Go if you have never seen the movie on the big screen or want to see it again on the big screen. But do not go for the 3D gimmick. It adds zilch. Ignore the other reviews!

If you like Quentin Tarantino and his movies like "Kill Bill" you'll love it! What do ya get when ya mix trailer park trash, sex, gory gory violence and twisted silly humor all in 3D? Drive Angry! Hilarious!

Rubbish

Another Hollywood flop. Sick of this. Just see "Single White Female" . This is a very poor re-make of that movie. SWF is so much better on every level. Netflix it; save your money and enjoy it; something you will not be able to do with this rubbish.

Not Bad!

This got pretty bad reviews and bombed its first week out, but I am glad I went. The soundtrack is great. I do not even like country music or so I thought but it was great! Gwyn? You know she is a good actress; the problem is the she plays an alcoholic star that is, in the movie, 95% in the lows. Only in the last 15 minutes does she show you her on top side so it is not very pleasant to watch. Meester and her beau in the movie (Hedlund?) they were great. Amazing singers, amazing to look at so no matter what sex you are into you are gonna be happy!. Their chemistry and love story is a delight to watch. It is worth to go just for those two but Gwyn does have some moments because she is a good actress and has an adequate voice. Her husband (McGraw?) not bad - super cute if you are into tall dark and handsome! I'd say go see it!

A Waste of Talent and Your Time and Money

I am a Natalie Portman fan. Yes she is talented but this movie was not her next right move! Now The Other Boleyn Girl, in that she was amazing and in that she deserved best actress. In this her character was nothing to work with just a insecure weak mess; not a memorable role. And what was this movie? Art movie gone Hollywood mall slasher - special effects and all? A waste.

More Horrible than You Could Imagine

This is truly one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life and I am a Angelina Jolie fan. The chemistry between Depp and her is abysmal. The storyline is beyond stupid. The best part was looking at dolled up Jolie but even that proves an illusion. Half way through the movie when you are sure Jolie is the prettiest creature you have seen she wears a sleeveless gown and you see another side of the truth. A girl who must be anorexic and bulimic.
Even her beauty was revealed as an illusion and that was the only thing going for the movie. As for Depp, he cannot play a regular person at this point. Without crazy makeup and costumes he is as lost and unconvincing as a beginner actor. I walked out.

Don't go

Like Americans have not heard enough about the economic meltdown in America in 2008. Dang - I could have watched the 6 o'clock news and spent 11 bucks on a good cheap dinner out. Instead I went to this movie and walked out. Again does any American want to hear about the economic meltdown another second? I don't think so.

Beyond awful

Do not waste your time on this movie. It is trying to come off like some epic "Out of Africa" movie (a 1980 Merryl Steep classic). It is silly, intellectually thin and preposterous on virtually every level. For a more detailed review on why this is so poor Google the title and "New York Times review." Awful!

2 hours and 40 mins of Garbage

Uhhhg, I I wish I had an aisle seat so I could have left earlier. I was in the middle of the row and felt stuck. Dummmb story and special effects that we have all seen for over 10 years! I am so glad I didn't get the large popcorn I was tempted to get. 800 fat claories plus a horrible movie. That's double jepardy!

Crummy!

It did not compare to the first 2 Terminator movies which is a shame because Bale is a much more capable actor than Arnold. Weak plot and storyline and poor character develpment. Hollywood movies are such grabage these days! They are essentially glorified video games. Being 46 I have seen decades of Hollywood movies. Things are supposed to get better not worse!
