While I think the book readers will be disappointed in the total content of the movie, for a simple movie goer it was a thrill. Having the the location take place in authentic Rome will bring joy for anyone who has ever visited there before. The scenery truly added to the joy of the movie, and the cooperation of the Catholic church to allow filming in St. Peters made the whole thing incredibly pleasant.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
