I have never seen a Tim Burton movie that I liked and this is no exception. My daughter, who is 12 really didn't like it either. The IMAX 3D is incredible but the weird and extremely bizarre characters that Tim Burton loves in his movies just are way over the top for me.
The movie was enjoyable and my 11 year old daughter could not stop talking about it after the movie. One of the few movies out there right now where you can feel safe taking your child. There were a few times when the scenes were far fetched, but you I was willing to let it go since it really added to the overall movie.
My daughter and I laughed quite a bit throughout most of this movie. I found Zac Efron's performance better than what he has done in High School Musical. He really tried to mimic gestures and facial expressions that Matthew Perry uses to make it a little mroe believable that he was the younger Perry.
I was surprised by this entertaining movie. This movie gave you insight into the crazy schedule of a rock star and how it may not always be so glamorous. The Jonas Brothers were energetic and entertaining They really looked like they were enjoying themselves no matter how hectic their life is.
The only knock on the movie were a few of the 3-D shots made the Jonas Brother in the shot look like a midget compared to the audience, which really annoyed me. Fortunately, these shots were few and far between. Overall, this is a movie you can take your child to without worrying about hearing or seeing anything that is inappropriate, which is a hard thing to come by these days.
