There is no question that boldly going where no man has gone before takes on a new dimesion with a 3 story screen. The whole experience was a welcome change and the movie itself was worth the wait. The colors in the cinematography were intentionally oversaturated and they left the polarizing filter off on interiors to give lights a bigger glow (think Miami Vice, or the original Battlestar Galactica). While the larger than life feel did work, it was the clever portrayals of the characters by actors who were not afraid of the legacies they inherited that made this film work. Cudos to the new crew. You will not be disappointed if you have ever called yourself a trekkie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
