I thought the acting was excellent and although I think there were too many scenes of the two starts just staring longingly at each other, I think the movie spoke to anyone who has been deeply, surprisingly, and inexplicably in love with another person who on the surface seems incompatible. I did think Bella's willingness to become a vampire at the end came too early, especially if you consider the consequnces for her. But on the other hand, she is a teenager so maybe impetuous decisions like that make sense. The chemistry between the stars was excellent and I think they are both very fine actors.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
