This last rendition in the saga was boring and uneventfull. It wasn't even as interesting or exciting as a single episode of the TV chronicles. Christian Bale's acting was as bad as ever (worst Batman).
Except for trying twice in the movie to make it seem that A&D takes place after DaVinci Code rather than taking place much earlier, the screenplay was well written. The end was weak. Development of the Camerlango's character was left out. Final scenes were too explosive and unnecessary. The book's plot was better. Tom Hanks was in great shape.
The title constricted the possibilities of the action going forward. Difficult subject matter to watch! Well-acted, but stage-like. The characters were each a chapter of PSYCHOLOGY TODAY. Story is very slow, and irrelevant to modern times. Would have made an interesting episode of MAD MEN.
