Keepin' the Spirit Alive

Whenever someone, in this case Jason Segel, dusts off a classic franchise to make a movie that reflects all the spirit of the original films, I am always leery. In this case, I was particularly skeptical and anxious because I've adored everything Muppet since birth! However, Segel's own passion for the Muppets shines through in an incredibly well written and entertaining film that brings back so many of the favorite feelings that I experience when I watch The Muppet Movie. Segel has fittingly brought back the spirit of the Muppets in a film I was too happy to see right at midnight.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Will See it Again and Again

This is a refreshing take on Sherlock Holmes. Anyone who is a fan of the literary character should be pleased with Robert Downey Jr.'s onscreen portrayal. The action is not overwhelming or ludicrous, the dialog is witty, and the cinematography is fascinating. I will see this again in the theaters and purchase it as soon as I can to watch again and again at home.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not the Worst Movie Ever Made

The novel is a blossoming love between an ordinary girl and a handsome immortal being. This is lost in a film that does not focus enough on the building of the relationship between Edward and Bella. Since the proper foundation is not laid for their relationship, all intimate moments are awkward and unnatural.
Why was money spent on making the vampires fly? How about the glittering Edward? A sparkling man is okay on the pages of a novel. In a movie he should simply have a warm glow about him because the glitter looks cheap.
The dialog also kills the mood because some lines like “sick, masochistic lion” are nice to read, but when delivered ineptly in the movie it moves one to chuckles because of how goofy it sounds.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
