Surprised that I loved it

My college aged son chose this for the 4 of us to go to on Christmas. I went thinking I would not like it. I enjoyed it so much. Yes, the plot line on the surface reminded me of 4 other movies, but I loved the animals, plants, and humanoids of the planet. I also loved the underlying idea of the " tree" life on the planet. It's a long film so watch your liquid intake, you don't want to miss anything. The special effects are wonderful. I recommend this!!

Carrie & gals in the City - group viewing

I took my 22 year old daughter with me to see S in the City on the opening night of the movie. The theatre was packed with girlfriends and a few men. The movie was awesome - the characters that we loved from the series were back with us again for 2 1/2 hours. Watching it with a theatre packed with fans who clapped , awwwwwed, laughed, and gave a knowing comment or glance to the stranger/fan seated next to them made it an even better experience. If you enjoyed the show you will enjoy the movie. My one reccomendation is don't drink too much soda/water because you don't want to have to take a restroom break and miss anything...2 1/2 hours is a long time to have to wait if you drink too much. I would go watch it again if one of my friends wanted to see it. I will buy the DVD the day it comes out! The characters don't disappoint you and Jennifer Hudson does a wonderful job as the newbee. GO SEE THIS MOVIE! I want them to make a sequel...I can already see the storyline around Samatha.
