While I would never want to take away from Heath Ledger's masterpiece performance, I felt this movie was just above average as a whole. I did not feel the plot or acting lived up to the hype. A lot of the action scenes were fragmented and hard to determine what actually transpired. The movie was entirely too long. Many in the audience were fidgety and sending text messages on their phones. I would probably only rent it once more in my lifetime to watch on my home theater but will not plan to purchase it for my collection. I would recommend that people go to the big screen to see it rather than wait for the DVD release. I do hope that Heath Ledger is at least nominated for his incredible performance. His acting is worth the price of admission alone.
