Awesome spectacle, weak story

Avatar was simply an incredible show of amazing visual stimulation. Avatar's Pandora is gorgeous, the efx are incredible and the blend of real and cgi is hard to detect.
The biggest downside for me is the story. While its not a bad plot it has been done before so there are times when things are predictable. A few times during the movie they reference things that have little to do with what is going on, only to have it have greater importance later,and if they hadn't made the earlier reference you would have no idea why it was significant. I would say that this could have been remedied if this was a 3 part movie, as I feel that the Na'vi people should have been given more depth. See it!
