Went to see Dark Knight last night and was completely blown away. I am a huge Batman movie fan so I knew I was going to like the movie because of that. However, this movie goes above and beyond what any film has done for comic book hereos. I will not be going in to detail about scenes as to not give any spoilers. But here is a good warning to parents: Beware for children younger than 13 or even those teens who are squimmish. This movie is terrifying at times. There are a couple of scenes where I literally had to close my eyes because the images or the parts leading up to the image were too much for me. Of course Heath Ledger is amazing. No doubt the best villian ever on the screen. And Eckart plays Harvey Dent so well. But there has not been enough about Christian Bale. He is by far my favorite actor to play Batman, and not just because he is gorgeous. He lets us see the side of Batman I've been wanting to see for a long time. And I thank him and Christopher Nolan for bringing it to the screen. I will definitely go to see this again, maybe this time on IMAX. Don't miss this movie but think twice about taking your young kids.
