I agree with everyone's opinion that Meryl gave a spot on performance and the parts of the movie that focus on J. Chlids story were entertaining. I have watched a biography of Julia Child and read her book so there were no surprises. I also listened to the Julie Blog on Audiocassette and I remembered it being funny. the Amy Adams character is only mildly amusing and I usually like her. If your a Julie Childs fan, and I am, you will enjoy this movie. But... If your not, I just don't think you'll like it as much,

My family really enjoyed this movie, my 2 13 and 15 y/o girls did need to clarify a couple of points during the movie b/c they really haven't seen the original series. Actors did a great job recreating the characters. Only complaint more Scotty and Bones, best comic relief!
