King's speech is a simple plot with historical facts compacted around two men. Most Americans never knew of the existence of this "friend" of King George. Wonderful score. Lovely acting, simple scenes and yet everything pulling toward the tension of the nazi threat and THE Speech.
Truly wonderful and a good antidote to all the crash, bang, switch scenes with head spinning speed. The pacing is like a play.
