The triumph of a sister's love for her brother!

After the bummer of the 2010 election, it was just the right thing to see that love, perseverance and dedication beyond reason to a cause can still make a difference! Bravo!
The performances were top notch, the story compelling, and the ending was a triumph!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Efron and movie good

Zac Efron shows he has real acting chops in Charlie St. Cloud. The film is good at showing the relationships between Charlie and his brother, and his new love Tess but, uneven in how those are intertwined. 3 and a half to 4 stars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Tres' Jolie!

She's tougher than Bourne, faster than Phelps, and taller than Tom Cruise! Salt is a fast paced thriller with more twists than a Dick Cheney justification for torture! See it! And remember not to tick off the lady...it could be fatal!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My son and I saw "Despicable Me" and loved it! The story was funny and had just the right amount of nine year old humor mixed with good family fun. Minions rule!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Iron Man 2 delivers but...

Iron Man 2 delivers but, the first movie was better!
Fabulous action, great plot development, cool new characters and more glib Tony Starkisms make this movie a hit for the Spring of 2010!
Where it went wrong was the around Queens New York battle that endangered hundreds of thousands of lives and ruined hundreds of millions in real estate. What do these folks have against New Yorkers? Are they Red Sox fans or crazed Dodgers fans looking to destroy any vestige of the history of that famed ball club's name?
I don't know but, I couldn't "willingly suspend my disbelief" that my superhero from the Iron Man comics of my youth would cause such havoc. Yes, I was a HUGE fan of the comic and had many early editions until my mother "threw out the trash" I had stored in our basement while in college.
Guys, the "Thor" episode had best do a better job of making us see Iron Man's true heroic nature or the franchise will suffer deserved Bronx cheers!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

True to the legend

I have been an Iron Man fan since his first guest appearances in the comics. I had the original Iron Man comic until my mother threw out my comic collection as trash.
With all the hype, I was a little skeptical that this movie could live up to my memories of true heroism. Iron Man delivers heroism by the buckets, and the effects are fabulous.
Robert Downey, Jr. delivers a smart performance as playboy Tony Stark who becomes Iron Man after a life altering relationship under extreme circumstances.
Iron Man 's supporting cast makes you cheer; when the villains get theirs, or when Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) buys herself the dress of the century. Stan Lee rules, again!
Iron Man scores the highest; an "I'll see it again, soon!" on the Hogie Movie Rating Scale.
The "Hogie Movie Rating Scale" is copyrighted by Timothy E. Hogan, LLC and consists of five ratings.
1. "I'll see it again, soon!"
2. "See it at the Rush Hour."
3. "Wait 'til it gets to a discount theater."
4. "Watch it free on cable."
5. "I can swallow film and vomit a better picture than this!"
Yes, I recommend this movie.
