This movie is the most beautiful, magical thing I've ever seen on the screen. I have not been a particular fan of 3-D in the past, but instead of just using it as a gimmick, James Cameron has used it in Avatar to make the Pandora world feel real and alive. There is a scene about halfway through that is so utterly beautiful that I found myself with tears running down my cheeks just at the sheer beauty of it. After all the hype, I was a bit afraid that I would end up disappointed, but nothing could be further from the truth. I can't wait to see it again!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
