Truly, this is one of the best. I'm still a die-hard Michael Keaton Batman fan, but this ranks right up there alongside the original! My only problem wasn't with the movie - it was with the parents of the VERY young children who brought them to the theater. This is honestly a movie for adults and older teens - definitely not a flick for the wee ones! Save the ticket money and pay a babysitter, but Mom and Dad should definitely make a Date Night with the Dark Knight!
I was sincerely disappointed in this movie, from the mediocre acting (I really expected more!) to the rather blatant message realized toward the end of the movie. (Yes, another Global Warning propaganda piece...) As a big fan of such films as Signs and The Sixth Sense, I truly thought this would be a very worthwhile film. Leaving the theater, my only thought was, "What a waste of money!"
Coming as a bit of a surprise, my 14-yr-old daughter asked to see this movie yesterday. We both enjoyed the movie and had fun watching one of our favorite Dr. Seuss stories come to life! There are dual messages in the movie, one of character and one of faith. Great movie with incredible talent!
