Ok, this isn't an Alice like the book. Hopefully you know that already. And it's flawed. But it's beautiful visually and the story they DO use works fairly well. Depp has some really GOOD moments in the film but doesn't hijack it into another Depp movie, allowing the other characters to show their strengths. The depictions of various mental disorders are gentle and well done and overall I liked it very much.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
