Absolutely Delightful

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Mamma Mia! Having seen the Broadway version, we were a bit hesitant to see the movie version because we feared that it might not be as good. We needn't have been concerned because it was simply wonderful! All of the actors were perfect for their roles, and each gave an engaging performance. Honestly, the scenery was spectacular! Of course, this is something that cannot be done on stage, so it truly added something special to the movie. The music was great, of course, and some of the actors are extremely talented singers. Pierce Brosnan does a terrific job and gives his singing his all even though this is not his forte. However, this allows the viewer to embrace his character.
Meryl Streep is wonderful! Julie Walters and Christine Baranski are fabulous! Amanda Seyfried as Sophie is positively darling and a great singer! You must stay until the end of the movie to watch the "on stage" performances of the main adult characters. Hilarious!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
