It was brilliant. That's all there is to it. I think that the rest of the world needed to see how people live in places like Mumbai. I felt that up to this point it was largely unknown. As an Indian, I have family there, my parents went to college there, and I've been there many times, so none of this was a surprise to me. But it was a really good feeling knowing that now the rest of the world knows how these people live and the kinds of things that go on. If you have not seen this movie, then you are missing out.
It's essentially a sequel to Casino Royale. If you don't remember all the details, or have not seen the previous movie, then you will be thoroughly confused. Not that that was my situation, but it's worth saying. The movie was entertaining, but a little disjointed in it's plot elements. It is based almost entirely on the previous movie and as a result, it seems like it is missing something; that flare of bond tackling a new mission. The mission is not really new, and although things do make sense in the end, it might take someone who is more perceptive to explain it to you for you to really understand.
Made my top ten almost solely riding on Ledger's beyond phenomenal performance. And, I almost never say that about a movie. Katie Holmes would've been better, but that didn't by any means make or break the movie. Caine great as always. Bale too. Supporting cast was very good.
