Boring Romance, No Tension, Bad Casting

The entire movie was based on a love triangle scenario, not vampires, werewolves, thrill, or the action of the original movie. There were few characters and those beyond Bella and Lukas weren't fleshed out much. Likewise, this production failed establish the spark between Bella and Edward which all the tension of love triangle hinged upon. The Bella/Lukas spark was much more believable and moving. But was nothing without the contrasting love between Edward and Bella.
Finally there was some really poor location, set, and extra choice. The town of the Volitarie was a joke, the court looked like cardboard, and all the extras looked like every day white Los Angelenes.
