Every couple of decades you see a movie that makes your jaw drop, and then your mouth remains open for the rest of the movie. I had that reaction when I saw Star Wars in 1977 and I had it again yesterday when I saw Avatar. We already knew James Cameron was brilliant, but this was beyond genius. Yes, the story line was simple and predictable (and very obviously a replay of the plight of the Native Americans in our country, except this time the Native Americans won!), but the visuals, and the way that CGI and "reality" were seamlessly weaved together, were simply stunning. A must see cinematic experience!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
