What a wonderful afternoon at the Met. Four hours fifty minutes flew by. The Strauss' music of course was sublime. The performances were immaculate, even the chorus was perfectly attuned. The sets and the costumes were unbelievably beautiful. The theater experience was like magic, a five hour dream. No home HD TV can top this experience. Bravo to the Met for conceiving this great cultural experience and for offering it in so many locations. I've recommended these Saturday afternoon presentations to all my friends. Always enjoyed the Met broadcasts on the radio when I was growing up... but now aren't we lucky to have this wonderful technology !
