and as long as you can accept the plot, you should enjoy it. Just try not to think too hard

Good...but ultimately a tad disappointing

Perhaps, I had my hopes sets too high for this one. The trailer presented us with the idea that not only is this dancer (Portman) falling into madness, but that she has help along the way via a deceitful, back-stabbing rival (Kunis) and a borderline mother. But, the score is so overdone that the third act of the film just seems campy and the films ends on an unfulfilling note, where the audience basically knows its all in the Portman's head. Its not that its a bad movie, its just that the threat and danger that was promised just doesn't deliver. Best part of the movie, by far, is Vincent Cassel as the creepy Dance Director and his relationship with Portman.
Inception is one of those movies that comes around every few years that makes the audience completely forget that they are watching a movie and actually think that the reality of the film could be their own reality. While the "Dream Espionage" rules seem to come off as they are simply making up rules as they go along, you don't really seem to care, because the story is just so captivating. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (in your dreams) and hell hath no fury like the regret you will feel if you don't check this film out.
Was expecting a lot out of this movie, hoping that Christian Bale was going to be able to save this franchise as well. This was not the case. There isn't much of a plot, as the director, McG, watches too many Michael Bay films (and believes that loud explosions equal a gripping plot). There have been stupider movies made, but having such high hopes for this one made watching it really sting.
