I'll get this out of the way, overall the movie was good, 3.5/5 - with qualifications. It has serious continuity issues. Things that have been done previously in the ST timeline (such as warp5) are shown here as being difficult. Transporting to a ship at warp, okay, I'll dig - but after the ship has been travelling for god knows how long? We have a good idea of what transporter ranges are by the time of ST:TNG - so how can they be orders of magnitude greater hundreds of years in the past - even with spocks future knowledge. I found some of the tidbits that related to previoius series like Enterprise (Archer's beagle, Captain Pike) funny - even if no one else got them. Why did they have to change the phaser effect? Still good overall
