when I decided to see this movie I was interested in the plot that I thought I had deduced from the trailer. Aliens get stuck here,their ship is disabled,they want to go home,etc...but I was really surprised when I actually saw it. I don't know if it was the intention of Peter Jackson to make a social coment on housing,illegal immigrants,segragation,etc. but it was a very well made movie. I would recommend it to people who are going into it with an open mind.

Being a KS fan I was looking foward to this movie. I wasn't disappointed. It had a decent plotline. I would have liked to have seen more of it. The only thing I didn't care for was the ending. I was hoping it would have turned out differently.

This was a great movie. I saw all the previews and TV ads and thought I knew what the movie was all about. Well,there is alot more to the story than you see in previews. It was a great movie for all ages. I saw young kids and older people and they all laughed and liked it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was very skeptical when I heard that Robert Downey Jr. was playing the lead in this movie. I think he is a very good actor,but it didn''t seem to me that this was his kind of movie. I was so wrong. He was really great in this role. He played it very tongue-in-cheek and the chemistry between him and Gwyneth Paltrow was also a nice surprise. I would DEFINITELY recommend this movie and would go see it again.
