The film version of the hit show "Sex and the City" was essentially an extremely long episode. Jennifer Hudson was thrown in to make it more updated perhaps, but overall the plot moved very slowly, celebrated typical "Sex and the City" decadence, and ends up leaving the foursome basically where they started (so their is no major changes to the characters relative to their behavior in the TV show--which was probably the intent). There are some very funny moments to be fair, but they are too few. Overall it's a good "girls night out" film but it's value ends there.
Overall I'd say it was fun, enjoyable, and even "good". I have a hard time mixing Indiana Jones with extra-terrestrial concepts because although both are ficitional I always had Indy on a different end of the spectrum. The stunts were fun, the directing was solid, and Shia LeBouff will be a solid successor. I would recommend this to past fans, but would let them know there is some serious "cheese" involved. But it its fun cheese nonetheless.
