This movie was awful. First of all the if you get motion sick please do yourself a favor and don't go. The camera was jumping continuously. It felt like a bad home movie. After about an hour I had to leave I was no nauseaus. People were complaining that they couldn't even keep their eyes on the screen. What were they thinking? There must have been a small budget allowed for the camera man. Save your money or better yet go see Taken, that movie was top notch!!!

Not what expected!

If you think this is going to be your typical holiday family gathering movie you are wrong. This is a depressing drama amongst a spanish family set in New York. It has an occasional glimmer of humor here and there. I had to struggle through the first half of this one until the story took a turn toward the latter half and then rendered it not half bad. I still cannot understand why they casted Debra Messing, but am thinking it was to capture the american audience? . But if you are not familiar with the spanish traditions during the holiday this movie spells it out. I found that part of the film rewarding. I would give it 2 1/2 stars.

Good Story Line

This movie had an excellent story line. The acting in it was horrific, with the exception of Kirk Cameron. It was pretty painful watching the rest act. But overall it was a great story with a wonderful conclusion. A bit B grade, a little action here and there. There were instances that were pretty intense and heartfelt. I'd recommend it.

Only for the ones with a sense of humor

This movie was totally hilarious. We laughed out loud for 2 hours non stop. Although I think it was a little too long, then ending was a bit dragged out. Yes, all of you soccer moms, don't take your kids -this IS an adult movie. Anyone with a sense of humor MUST see this film. Be prepared.....to laugh! If youdon't, I feel bad for you.

This movie was aweful. I wish they would have put another actor in the place of Gerard Butler, that accent was totally annoying. Movie was ridiculously shallow. Don't bother!

Every teen should see this one!

This movie deals with the emotional aspect of teen pregnancy through the eyes of a teen. The writing is impeccable, the acting was wonderful. It was funny and kept you entertained, but on the other hand had a wonderful message to all teens about adoption and their options with pregnancy. It also focused on the emotional aspects of people who are not able to conceive. Jennifer Garner was superb in this movie. Very very entertaining, I watched this with 5 other people all over the age of 45 and we all enjoyed it immensely.

Typical Chick Flick No Substance

This movie was okay, not great. I did not find any parts funny or sad. The characters were shallow and stupid. Chick flicks can be done with substance, this one had none. It was quite annoying to say the least. Very predictable, so why stay for the ending? I suggest waiting for the DVD, $5.00 is all it's worth.

Spectacular & Lovely

This movie was as wonderful as I expected. It was a gentle, quiet, moving film that has a wonderful talented cast. The musical scores were impeccable. There were alot of flashbacks in this film so it is not for the easily confused. I would recommend it highly to anyone who has an appreciation for such a film, no shoot em up, bang bang, sci fi moments...just a heartwarming lovely tale of deception and redemption. Bravo to all involved in this masterpiece!
