Tyler did such a great job of transcribing Ntozake Shange's play and poetry into a screenplay. Something in that movie will pull at the heartstrings of every woman--colored or not.

I was SO impressed by this movie. The plot and characters were great. Cameron even made parts that would be woefully predictable in other movies (boy meets girl, etc) incredibly interesting. And the 3D effects were awesome.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
