Disney's A Christmas Carol

A well-done CGI version of this classic story. This version seemed to be truer to Dickens' vision than many others. The story itself was a part of Dickens' long-standing war against the oppression of the common people of England. This effort was his best attempt to fully integrate that theme into an entertaining story. The movie itself, after a slow and grumbly start, becomes a rocking, roaring romp through the past, present and future. The effects may be a little scary for smaller children, but for adults it's a lot of fun.
Were my name Ebert, I'd give it a "thumb's up.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
