Had no idea what to expect as I went with little info on Hugo. A well-crafted film by Scorsese. A classic "lost and found" story on many levels, with a surprise along the way. Worth seeing twice even at ETX/3-D ticket prices...
Not at all what I expected, but an excellent treatment of human nature in a sci-fi story. I liked the documentary style, and the exploration of the themes of racism, segregation, corporate hubris, etc. Perhaps a sequel?
Rather derivative and somewhat preachy. Some of the "intense dialogue" scenes needed editing. Special effects were outstanding. Question: Is George Foreman really that tall or Ben Stiller really that short?
