It Is What You Would Expect

Just as much cheese as any of the other films, it WAS funny...to me. I saw this movie with a other people, two of which did not find the humor funny. Two 40-year-old grown men acting like confused and stupid seven year olds who feel that a parent's divorce is their fault, can only be appreciated by certain people. While the story line is obviously fantastical, if you stop to appreciate that it is a movie with a plot (although a stupid one) it will make your movie going experience much more enjoyable. I am sure seeing it again on DVD will help me find it more entertaining.
Raunch humor, partial (negative) nudity, and strong language earn this movie the "R" rating. Be careful taking children (perhaps leave them at home IMHO).
I personally enjoyed the time to laugh, but when I left, I just said "that was stupid". Don't expect much. Perhaps wait for DVD when you won't have to pay $10 a ticket.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Comic Book Done Right!

Don't be afraid to shell out the $10.00 for this one. Much like "Batman Begins" this movie develops a character correctly, "weakness" and all.
For one, the acting was incredible. Downey, Paltrow, and Bridges all offer spectacular lead and supporting roles respectively.
Paltrow, one whom I never specifically thought of as "beautiful" looks exactly that, beautiful.
The only necessary downfall I would say is that Hollywood was able to successfully push its agenda by having Mr. Stark (Downey Jr.) have an epiphany about his role in weapons manufacturing, realizing that his company directly funds terrorist activities that result in the deaths of American soldiers in Afghanistan...resulting in his transformation into the "Freedom Fighter", Ironman.
Overall, if you want a thrill ride I highly suggest seeing this movie. You shouldn't be disappointed. PS: Wait for the Easter Egg after the credits!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
