Very good film! After watching and reading weak reviews, we went with low expectations, just to see Meryl Streep and also because Julia Child was a favorite old T.V. show memory. Streep played her perfectly-- with all her love of French cuisine and her quirky rough edges too. The Julie story was a terrific angle to retell an old tale; blogging, a new love story, and good acting from all the cast, especially Tucci and Adams. It's a pleasant surprise!
Good action scenes and good acting, but a weak script prevents this film from being a good Bond flick. No elegance to Daniel Craig's portrayal and it's not his fault-- there isn't enough dialogue in the movie to develop the Bond character. The plot is blurry unless you memorized the previous Bond movie, so be prepared for some --huh? moments. Still, worth the price of admission.
