characters are great, actors are very good. 3-D creates a dark screen however.

Very good, but Bwy show was better

Cast does well, direction a little disjointed, Daniel Day Lewis does a fine job, Kate Hudson surprisingly good - where did her song come from? -- and Penelope Cruz wonderful, but the best is Marion Cotillard.

Outstanding, but a question

The movie was outstanding in all respects - story, acting, animation, music. Truly enjoyable from start to finish.
Just one question - we saw the movie in 3-D in a very large theater (Ziegfeld in NYC) and sat in the rear mezzanine, far back from the screen. People in the front of the theater were laughing at times we were not - does one see more effects in 3-D closer to the screen than further away?

Everyone wants a dog like Bolt

Great fun, and excellent animation, animals, esp. Bolt, truly captured in their essence. 3-D visual was most entertaining. Loved Rhino and the pigeons, too, but Bolt was the star!
