My Students and I read the book in class. The boys enjoyed seeing the book come to life. They especially like to wolves! I guess that makes us Team Jacob.

I understand that there is an extraordinary amount of material in the books and it won't all make it to the movie. My problem lies in all the extra stuff they add and the important things they delete. Why did the Weasley house burn? Where was the Minister of Magic? Where were the other horcrux memories? There were too many essential items left out of this movie. The character development was spectacular. The Quidditch scene was fabulous. But the rest of the movie left me disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Overall the movie was well done. I think the casting was excellent. I was worried about Robert playing Edward and he was brilliant!! Kristen is a perfect Bella as Ashley Greene is Alice. I would have liked to see more of the Cullens than I did of James and his coven. The chemistry between Bella and Edward was fabulous. It moves fast and could have been longer. I am eagerly waiting New Moon.
