I'm not really a huge Star Trek fan and wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I thought it could end up being rather cheesy. I was certainly mistaken. The story, the acting and the special effects were all amazing. JJ Abrams really did a wonderful job in providing the necessary background, etc to tie the whole story together. The use of virtual unknowns in the majority of roles was a perfect choice. A star studded cast would not have provided the same result for this movie.
I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. Even if they aren't a Star Trek fan. I look forward to a sequel.
