The movie is excellent! It's the first time I have ever seen a movie that has accurately portrayed gay people.
Every actor shines in this movie. Sean Penn is phenomenal in his role and so is Emile Hirsch (who I now have a huge crush on).
What was amazing and terrifying was how in 1977, Prop 6 was the big issue and with Milk leading the way they were able to defeat that discriminatory act. I hope if anything, this movie brings attention to what can be done if you have passion and fight for it.
I loved this movie, and not just because I am a gay man. It tells a story people in younger generations have no idea about, so it's a piece of history that needed to be told. Bravo!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
