I have to say that as a 45 year old adult, I have seen many versions of this film. I was very excited to see this film not only because it was a Disney film but also because I knew Jim Carrey would be his amazing self. Although Jim Carrey stayed true to character, Disney definitely disappointed me with this one. The film was too loud, at times the scenes were excruitating too long and drawn out and I had taken my children ages 9, 11 and 12. They all thought it to be very frightening at times and overall a dull story, one left to be seen honestly only by adults.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
