I keep hearing that it was true to Lewis Carroll but I don't think that it was, unless there is more to the mythos of Alice in Wonderland, other than the novel.
The story went a bit on it's own, but without giving anything away, it was supposed to.
As far as the world being imagined properly, it absolutely was.
The 3D effects weren't particularly dazzling in the 3D version, but it had its moments.
The thematic elements of the impossible and unimaginable being within reach with belief and dedication really struck home with me.
