We really enjoyed this movie even though it was fairly predictable. Plenty of laughs from the many double entendres and the physical comedy that harkens back to the original Pink Panther movies. Not an Oscar winner, but so what? You'll enjoy thismovie.
We took our 5 and 8 year olds to this movie expecting to be leave disappointed. Happily, this turned out to be thoroughtly enjoyable, particularly considering Adam Sandler is in it. We laughed out loud with our kids and we had a great time.
This movie was intelligent and funny. If you don't like this movie it must be because you don't have a sense of humor or you're too obtuse to get it. The exchanges between the CIA folks are hilarious, particularly to those of us in government service. The only knock on this film is that Pitt is little long in the tooth to convincingly pull off the dumb jock role.
The only reason I can see that this movie is getting rave reviews is that it does a good job of beginning political indoctrination for toddlers. The blatant "blame pollution and global warming on the republicans" theme, the allusion to the mindless (republican) computers "staying the course", the portrayal of the "male lead" as a bumbling tool while the "female lead" is soooo smart and capable is standard hollowood fare. The only difference here is that it is packaged for kids. Shameful.
