A hilarious, self-reflexive teen comedy. Emma Stone is perfect, playing both ironic and sincere with the same effectiveness. Setting the film and shooting it in Ojai was an inspired choice.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A remarkable film, as if Christopher Nolan redid "Last Year at Marienbad" as an action film. The film plays with different forms of film narrative; it's playing games with the audience rather than attempting to arrive at profound truths about the nature of dream and reality. At one point in the film, three different films are being intercut, with no one narrative having more authority than the next. The film abounds in literary (Borges especially) and film allusions without ever becoming pretentious. But see it in IMAX -- the film looks and sounds so much better in this format.
