Alice Returns to Underland

This is not a movie version of the novel, rather a continuation of both Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Fans of the books will find many nods to both the books themselves and the history behind the books. Fans of Tim Burton will not be disappointed. Visually, this movie is brilliant and the story is entertaining as well. I was fortunate to see it in IMAX 3D, which is always a treat.
People expecting to see a revamping of the 1951 Disney cartoon, which did not follow the books closely at all, will be disappointed.
Go to this expecting to see a new twist on the Alice in Wonderland story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was an amazing movie. Cinematically beautiful, awesome special effects, and unparalleled acting for a movie of this genre. Chris Nolan has certainly raised the bar for future Batman movies. Heath Ledger's performance as the joker was both creepy and hilarious--and he deserves every bit of credit he is getting for this role. This is definitely a must see movie.
