Steel yourself for a good time

I was a comic kid, but not a collector. I read them at summer camp and when my buddies got new ones, we would poor through them till they were ratty, then go play whiffle ball...
This movie is like that, I'd love to go see it all over again. I was entertained from the moment the movie got rolling, till after the credits were done (don't forget to sit through ALL the credits, there's a short little treat at the end)
Robert Downey Jr, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow and the supporting cast pulled off great performances.
John Favreau (who I've always enjoyed) did a fantastic job directing and injecting himself in for a few humorous moments as well.
The special effects did not control the movie. They didn't overshadow the plot, the acting, or the cinematography. They added just the right touch.
We took our teenage son, and we all enjoyed it. Everyone in the theater clapped and cheered, and walked out smiling.
I couldn't recommend this movie enough.
