Let's just face it, there will never be another Notebook!!! No matter how many lame attempts are made. "Dear John" was my favorite Nicholas Sparks book so far and i was beyond excited to see it. All I can say is i was extremely disappointed!!!! The movie dragged, did not follow the book, and Amanda Seyfried was NOT the right Savannah. Channing Tatum did a good job as John, but the love story between them was never full developed. And the book had such a powerful ending, unlike the movie, in which everyone in the theater shouted out, "really?" cause it was so blunt and unemotional. Truly a slow boring movie, without any chemistry or plot development.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
