My view of Dear John the movie

I read the book before ever even hearing about the movie. When I heard how the book was being made into a movie I was extremely excited. The book was one of my favorite books of all time! I went to see the movie the night it was released, last night, and I was not impressed. Beside Channing Tatum being great to look at the movie captured about 25% of the book. Chapter 13 and 14 are crucial to the story and I feel like 95% of those chapters were completely left out. My recommendation READ THE BOOK! So... I think I would have enjoyed the movie alot more if I had not read the book because there is no comparison. Bummer!
