Cute movie - somewhat sad and funny too!

I thought the part about growing old and losing the wife was somewhat sad and alittle deep for a kids movie. Some parts were alittle slow then it picked up and we got some good laughs. I liked the bird and the dog.

I enjoyed parts of the movie but didn't find it to be spectacular. The hi-lights were basically shown in the commercial/trailers.

We enjoyed the movie... I especially liked looking over at my two boys as they were watching certain parts and seeing the big smiles on their faces!!!

Not at all what I expected

I expected a movie centered around the dog but not with such a sad ending. I thought it was supposed to be a fun kids movie but was disappointed with some of the adult matters and content. I would not have taken my 6 and 9 year old children if I had known more about the movie than the commercial/trailer portrayed. The movie also seemed too long!

I thought it was a very good expansion of the book (creative). I didn't think that there would be very much that could be added to make it into a movie that keeps its audience. They did it though!!!
