This movie is set in India, Mumbai. It gives a thought provoking looks at how life is in the slums, but also triumphs because the boy who grew up there was able to use each "bad" experience to answer the questions on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Great acting and also a boy who grows into a man still in love with the slum girl he met. Through it all he keeps a tender heart towards her. Excellent!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
