Pleasantly surprised & thrilled!

Loved Star Trek as a kid in the 60's and then in college when the movies came out. I grit my teeth and learned to love STNG & Deep Space Nine but hated Voyager and Enterprise.
When I heard JJ Abrams was taking over with a new cast, I was apprehensive but confident that he could do it, being a HUGE Lost fan. However, I just couldn't see Chris Pine as Kirk. Previews didn't help.
Right from the first scene, they had me. I couldn't take my eyes away! Terrific FX, great story line. Cast was fabulous from Eric Bana to Zach Quinto (go Sylar!) to Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin as Chekov and even Chris Pine. Can't wait til it comes out on BluRay!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
