It's a fun movie to watch for super special effects and silly storyline. I did enjoy it. HOWEVER, had I known that the studio rushed to add a phony computer 3D-like effect after the success of Avatar, I would have NEVER forked over the extra cash to see it in 3D!!! That was pure greed, and I feel cheated. Either film it in full true 3D, or leave it alone.
They made a point of showing that vampires can not be seen in mirrors with a quick (and corny) glimpse of what that looks like an invisible man wearing a jacket and shirt. (Like we haven't seen that done a million times before.) Later Ethan Hawke is checking out his ear in his rear view mirror. What kind of sloppy work is this?
The big problem the movie is that it's more about corporate greed than scary vamps and just misses the mark.
