As I said on Facebook, no matter your political, social or gastronomic views, you must see this movie! There is a reason carrots and broccoli are more expensive than chips and soda. My rule has always been to stay away from processed food. In this case, ignorance is NOT bliss!
I really liked the movie; my only suggestion would've been to make the ending more realistic (i.e., not such a happy ending). He was barely injured in all of the fighting, and his daughter was returned seemingly unharmed and not very shaken from the experience.
This is definitely one of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen. If you want a movie that will stimulate *interesting* discussion afterward, this is the one. Nothing could've prepared me for the ending. I won't give it away in my review, but it was just strange! I found myself hoping the "end" would be somehow prevented by Nicolas Cage or his son.
This one delivers when it comes to laughs, but I don't think I've ever heard the F-word more in a single movie! A total "suspension of disbelief" is necessary, but that's why you go to the movies, right?
