Beautifully shot and evocative of dreaming, but had plot holes that you (literally) could drive a freight train through. Still, well worth it for the exciting third act and originality. Not as layered or deep as it purports to be, but at least it tried to be something special, which is more than most films attempt.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Well, paced, twisty, involving film from a master at the top of his game. Modern Hitchcockian thriller that Shutter Island wanted to be.
Don't let the terrible poster, or Polanski's legal history deter you.
